The EPA has required Harley to route hot, dirty, oily crankcase air back into the air cleaner compromising the performance & longevity of your engine. When using an external breather system, your bike will run better and last longer, and with the Black Braided Hose it can look better.
The hose is available in 2, 4, 6 & 8 foot lengths so you can place your breather filter where ever you would like.
Automotive grade hose will withstand heat well beyond what your bike should ever experience.
Pictured is the hose with the Cool-n-Clean Oil Filter Relocation. Also shown are the Black Hose Finishers. This listing is for the Black Fiber Braided Hose only.
Important Note: This hose is very tight fitting. Soaking the end of the hose in hot water will soften the rubber up, making it a little easier to slide on to the fitting. Using the black hose finishers is even a tighter fit. They work, but require some patience to install.
"I prefer the Black Fiber Braided Hose to the Stainless Braided, not only for the look, but it does not scratch like the Stainless Braided Hose." -Slim

This is a way to dress up your ride and add function as well. Durable and a better option than the standard hose. (Posted on 9/4/2023) -

I purchased this braided hose to go along with the external breather system and high flow air cleaner all purchased through DK. I opted for the braided hose just for the looks.it definitely adds a bit of class over the standard black rubber tubes.
You'll need some real good garage shears or a pair of strong tin snips to cut through the steel braid. Also, the instructions state that the hose is very stiff, they aven't kidding! Take the instructions advice and soak the tips of the tube that will be attached to the hardware in some hot water for 30 seconds or so. I did the typical dude thing and didn't read the instructions until after I fought with the tube for about 15 minutes and tore my fingers up on the steel braid! I boiled some water and put it in a coffee mug and soaked the tips for about 30 seconds and they slid right on.

Nice hose for my oil cooler and relocated oil filter. Price wasn't bad either. (Posted on 3/3/2022)
